A well-crafted listing helps people quickly understand your activity, builds trust, and attracts the right audience. Clear, thoughtful details make your activity stand out and encourage meaningful participation.

Follow our content guidelines and use a ready template to craft an engaging activity listing that attracts volunteers.

What information should I include?

To make your listing informative and appealing, include the following:

  • Images and Videos that convey what to expect for the activity
  • Activity name – 3–7 words; clear and specific
  • Date & day – include the day of the week to help participants plan
  • Time & venue – start/end times, meeting point, and directions
  • Host/organiser intro – brief background, interests, or inspiration for the activity
  • Experience & purpose – what participants will do and what they’ll take away
  • Who should attend – describe the target audience
  • What to bring / prepare – essentials participants need
  • Optional add-ons – guest speakers, perks, collaborators, weather plan, or contact info

Keep your descriptions concise and friendly. Use emojis sparingly if it suits your tone.

What type of images should I include in my listing?

Each listing must include the following visuals:

    • 1 YouTube Short (≤ 60s) + 4 photos (to humanise the activity)
      • An activity banner image (used as the share card thumbnail)
      • A group photo

      • Optional: pictures of beneficiaries, if allowed
    • A collage of b-roll images to convey the atmosphere of the activity

Creating an Activity Banner

Your activity banner is the first thing volunteers will see, so make it clear and engaging. A good banner should include:

  • Short Introduction – Add 1–2 lines about what the activity is and why it matters.
  • When and Where – Clearly state the date, time, and location.
  • Relevant Visuals - any image or illustrations used should be high quality and convey visually in relation to the activity. You may also include organisation logos.
