Receiving Donations on Give.Asia

How do donations work for different currencies on Give.Asia?

Anyone can donate to your campaign using one of the supported payment methods and currencies on Give.Asia.

The currency displayed on your campaign goal is automatically set based on your location when the campaign is created. Donors will see and donate in their local currency, as shown in the currency tab at the bottom of the Give.Asia website.

All donations are securely processed and collected automatically by Give.Asia through our payment partners. You do not need to manually receive or track payments from individual donors.

Funds raised will be received in Singapore Dollars (SGD) or in the currency confirmed with your Give.Asia case supporter during setup.

When our funds are available:

Once your campaign begins receiving donations, Give.Asia holds the funds temporarily to verify and process them safely before release.

Personal Campaigns

Payouts for personal fundraisers are handled differently depending on the campaign type:

  • Medical campaigns: Donations are transferred directly to the hospital or medical institution during the first week of every month.
  • Non-medical campaigns (including private campaigns): Your Give.Asia case supporter will share a payout application link once your campaign is live. Payout requests are processed bi-weekly.

You can find more details here: Send donation payout to personal fundraisers

Charity Campaigns

For campaigns run by or for registered charities, all donations are transferred directly to the charity’s official bank account following our standard payout schedule.

How to Grow Your Donations?

Your first supporters are usually your friends, family, and colleagues. They are also the most likely to share your campaign with others

Here’s a simple 7-day guide to help you get started:

  1. Day 1: Share your campaign personally with friends and family.
  2. Day 2: Thank your early donors and ask them to share your campaign.
  3. Day 3: Post a short thank-you message on social media.
  4. Day 4: Ask your company if they can help share your campaign internally.
  5. Day 5: Reach out to people who can help promote your story, such as influencers or community pages.
  6. Day 6: Follow up with these contacts and share your campaign link.
  7. Day 7: Keep the momentum going by engaging with your supporters and updating your post.

Remember: Most donations come from people you already know. Focus first on building strong local support, and others will follow once your campaign gains traction.
