Founded in 2009, Give.Asia is one of Asia's oldest crowdfunding platforms. Give.Asia is a free platform for individuals, groups and organizations to raise funds for charities and personal causes. We have raised over SGD 126 million for charitable causes and partners with 800+ organizations across Asia.

Code of Practice for Online Charitable Fund-Raising Appeals

Give.Asia, together with three other fundraising platforms in Singapore, co-developed the Code of Practice for Online Charitable Fund-Raising Appeals with the Commissioner of Charities to uphold standards of transparency and accountability.

The Code of Practice is a set of best practices for crowdfunding platforms in Singapore. The Code is based on ensuring the legitimacy, accountability and transparency of charitable appeals hosted on these platforms.

Ensuring safety and trust is an integral part of Give.Asia

We believe safety and trust are the key pillars for building a great crowdfunding website: There are four main ways in which we ensure safety and trust on Give.Asia:

  • Technology Tools - We invest in technology safeguards that make it easier for our team to detect any potential fraudulent activity quickly.
  • In-house Trust & Safety Personnel - We have personnel on the team who are responsible for managing risk on the platform and they are continuously looking for questionable campaigns or activities on the platform.
  • Continuous Improvement - We have set in place processes such that we are continuously re-inventing our fraud minimization and risk management practices keeping in mind that the fraud schemes will continue to get more sophisticated and we always need to be one step ahead.
  • Give.Asia User Community - We empower our community of users and the crowd to bring to our attention any suspicious or questionable campaigns.

Give.Asia uses a secure payment gateways Stripe and Checkout, which is the safest and most secure payment gateways in the world. It powers many big companies and is partially owned by Visa and Mastercard.
