Tips for a successful fundraising campaign

Let's visit the campaign Give My Son A Chance To Live and see what results are achieved:

Since we launched our fundraising campaign to support Fabian’s hospital expenses, the outpouring of kindness and generosity from our community has been truly overwhelming. Thanks to the heartfelt support of 1,282 amazing donors, we have raised an incredible S$92,488—far beyond what we ever imagined—and it has given our family so much hope in this difficult time.

Today, we are overjoyed to share some wonderful news. With God’s grace and your steadfast support, Fabian is now on the road to recovery. He has been discharged from Sarawak Heart Centre Hospital and is resting comfortably at home, surrounded by love and care.

Here are some proven tips to help your campaign gain momentum and achieve its target quickly:

1. Make your campaign stand out

  • Create a clear, descriptive, and action-driven title that fits your cause. Include the name of the person or organisation receiving help — this builds trust and transparency.
  • Use real photos of the people involved. Images of faces connect better than text or graphics and often lead to stronger donor reactions.
  • Add a short video if possible. It’s one of the most powerful ways to make a genuine first impression.
  • Write a heartfelt and detailed story. Share the facts and reasons behind your request so donors understand why their help matters.

2. Personalize your campaign page

Give.Asia offers built-in features to make your campaign unique. You can:

  • Add preset donation amounts and explain what each amount can do
  • Invite co-fundraisers to join your campaign
  • Prepare preset chat messages for quick replies
  • Customize your thank-you message to donors
  • Create a short, easy-to-share campaign URL

3. Share with friends and family

Your first supporters are usually the people closest to you. Share your campaign on social media such as Facebook or X (Twitter). When posting, include a short personal message about why the campaign matters to you and how every share or donation helps. A simple, sincere message works best.

4. Reach out personally

Don’t rely only on social media. Send your campaign link directly to 4–5 close friends or relatives through WhatsApp, Messenger, or email. A personal message goes a long way in encouraging people to donate or share.

5. Post regular updates

Updates keep your supporters connected and inspired. You can share:

  • Words of thanks to donors and sharers
  • Updates on how you or your beneficiary are doing
  • How the funds are being used
  • A gentle reminder to share your link again

6. Boost your campaign on Facebook

Give.Asia offers a free Facebook Outreach service to help your campaign reach more potential donors. We promote selected fundraisers to new audiences, helping them gain visibility and raise more funds. Here are some:
